  1. You always manage to bring a smile to my miserable face Donna, thank you. J hope you’re on less pain these days. My sense of humour seems to have gone AWOL and the search parties are coming back empty handed. Not much good fir a writer of funny books eh.
    Huge hugs to you

    1. We need to send out larger search parties then with bigger torches, dear David,
because we need your brilliant sense of humour now more than ever!!! And we need your hugs!
I’m hanging in there but just seeing your name pop up makes my day a whole lot brighter and
my smile a whole lot wider. Giant massive hugs from across The Pond dearest friend – I’ll send
funny vibes your way lol 😉

  2. 9/25 is Dolly Parton Day! We just have to make it be so. So hoping you are doing well and that life is treating you kindly. So true that courage and kindness are the only things that might possibly save us.

    1. We just have to keep telling ourselves this is all just froth and bubbles, we know what’s right and what’s wrong,
good and bad, just ignore the noise and keep moving forward with kindness in others troubles and courage in our own.
And kindness to ourselves too, we sure need it these days. All the best, always xoxo

    1. We’ll pour ourselves a cup of ambition
(in my case tea not coffee, but the thought still applies)
and make 9/25 Dolly Parton Day!!! 😉
Hope this week is being good to you so far! 🙂

    1. Thank you kindly, John, not making any promises cause I don’t like to break them
but I’m going to try smaller posts, even smaller than this one a little more often.
Hope this week is treating you kindly. 🙂

  3. It’s great to see a post from you, Donna, and I’m all for officially making 9/25 Dolly Parton Day! She was a wonderful, generous person who is dearly missed. 💖 Life is rough, and we should do our best to be kind. One never knows what travails other people are struggling with. Add to that, the daily onslaught of bad news bulletins and one could easily descend into despair! There’s a mantra someone reminded me of recently, that may be helpful: “It’s only temporary.” Here’s hoping! 🤞 Wishing you a lovely, peaceful long Labour Day weekend. Hugs from Suburbia on Lake ONTARIO. 🤗💖

    1. Hope you didn’t get hit too hard from that storm, dear Debbie.
It passed us by but I was watching with bated breath as Mother Nature
decided to show her full power last night. Wow.
We have to keep telling ourselves it’s all froth and bubble,
we know what’s right and wrong, good and bad, they can’t fool us,
kindness in others troubles and courage in our own and these days
a healthy dose of kindness toward ourselves too just to get through the day.
This too shall pass…We’ll pour ourselves a cup of ambition (my case it’s tea not coffee,
but I think it’s the same idea) and 9/25 is Dolly Day for sure!!!
Big hugs and hope this week is being good to you and the weekend treats you kindly.
Keep those pictures of Lake ONTARIO coming!!! xoxox

      1. We actually missed the worst of the storm, here. There was a torrential downpour and some thunder, but that was about it. The city of Toronto really got hammered, unfortunately. Yes, it’s all froth and bubble, as you say, and it will pass. 👍 💖

      2. Thank goodness. It totally skipped us, just wandered the other way.
I’m glad you’re ok and everyone else. Just lots of pumping and tree clearing. 🙂

  4. i am SOOOOOOOOO happy to see you again. Did I say that LOUD enough? I love your post, as always. Dolly will be missed and now Gloria. Two strong and wonderful women. Terrific tribute to Dolly, who was a generous and kind person. I’m so happy you stopped by. Hope you are well and as happy as you can be. You, my friend, are appreciated.

    1. I know, right? And Tim Curry and Peter Cullen, and a few more, it’s been quite a run.
But I’m glad to be here and big hugs xoxox Hope you’re finding and giving kindness. 🙂

  5. It’s trully wonderful to see you again. I hope you are well and as happy as you can be. Great tribute to Dolly, who was such a kind and generous woman. And now Gloria is gone, as well. As for lotus pods…who knew they could look like aliens who were dropped off at Day Care and no one came to pick them up. You have been missed, my friend. Take care of yourself.

    1. Ba hahahahaha!!!! I love that description of the pods, poor little pods!!! 😉
Thanks for dropping by and dropping some giggles. 🙂
Hope this weeks is treating you kindly. 🙂

  6. Hi Donna. Nice to see you back in blogland. Fab post and tribute to the iconic Dolly! I’m with you on all you said – especially sick of the verification codes! And love the lotus meme! 🧡🧡

    1. I could have also done a Rogers rant but girl you’ve covered that and then so, you go! These companies walk all over people because we have so few choices, it’s disgusting.Hope the storm didn’t hit your area too badly and giant hugs xoxox
