I will always love you, so much so I’d let you nap, come on, that’s real love. I love you so much I won’t talk about politics, religion or The Great Pumpkin (well, maybe a little https://yadadarcyyada.com/2013/10/29/stuff-i-learned-from-its-the-great-pumpkin-charlie-brown/), except to say: I still love my American neighbours (well, some of you, some of you were just made wrong, you know who you are). Just cause we can’t agree on trade deals, tariffs, names of lakes, well, come on, you know, us, we’re Canada, we’re Canadians. We’re polite, silly, generally good, eh, but there’s only so much anyone can take. I only wish everyone the best and hope someday, when all this malarky is done we can be all in this together again, until then, I only wish you all the best, always.
Dolly Parton and I not only shared the same initials, but a love of books and a belief that as many books should be in the hands of as many children as possible. The outpouring of love since her passing shows that people don’t hate the rich, they appreciate those who have a lot and understand sharing is caring. Dolly did that. Her Imagination Library https://imaginationlibrary.com/ca/ https://imaginationlibrary.com/ and all her other philanthropic ventures made the world a better place. What a concept. Seems pretty simple actually.
I hope life treats you kind (hope you share that kindness)

And I wish you joy, so much joy (as much as you can handle then a smidge more)
And happiness (a whole TARDIS full)

9/25 is Dolly Parton Day! We just have to make it be so. So hoping you are doing well and that life is treating you kindly. So true that courage and kindness are the only things that might possibly save us.
We just have to keep telling ourselves this is all just froth and bubbles, we know what’s right and what’s wrong,
good and bad, just ignore the noise and keep moving forward with kindness in others troubles and courage in our own.

It’s great to see a post from you, Donna, and I’m all for officially making 9/25 Dolly Parton Day! She was a wonderful, generous person who is dearly missed. 💖 Life is rough, and we should do our best to be kind. One never knows what travails other people are struggling with. Add to that, the daily onslaught of bad news bulletins and one could easily descend into despair! There’s a mantra someone reminded me of recently, that may be helpful: “It’s only temporary.” Here’s hoping! 🤞 Wishing you a lovely, peaceful long Labour Day weekend. It passed us by but I was watching with bated breath as Mother Nature
decided to show her full power last night. Wow.

We actually missed the worst of the storm, here. There was a torrential downpour and some thunder, but that was about it. The city of Toronto really got hammered, unfortunately. Yes, it’s all froth and bubble, as you say, and it will pass. 👍 💖
