Since this is Movies to Avoid on a First Date, I’m guessing that taking a first date to the cinema is a good idea. Now I know where I’m going wrong as I haven’t been to the cinema since Lady Sings The Blues first came out.

Heh heh. Sage advice indeed.
I once took someone on a second date to see “Hostel”, (a) not realising it was gore-horror and (b) not knowing horror films terrified her to the point of “hide behind the cushion”.
I’m single this Valentine’s Day. Go figure 🙂

Logan’s Run might be a decent first date movie, but, not if it’s either of your birthdays too.

lol True, the birthday aspect could throw things off. 😉

A good resource for the blind date friends set up that you decide should be the last date. Any chance any of these films might backfire?

Great list! Even as a little kid, I thought the whole mom thing in Back to the Future was weird. However, if a fella thinks it was a sweet love story that would tell me one thing. Run!

Muriel’s Wedding was one of the top three worst movies I have ever seen. I liked Fatal Attraction…made men squirm:) But you’re right, of course, not on a first date:) I haven’t seen most of those because I want to throw things at the screen, so I stick to action films and Sci-fi. LOL Great post…lots of fun:)

But what about the popcorn? Do you get the big bucket to share and risk the fumbling fingers as you both reach for a handful at the same time? Or cheap out and only spring for the tiny bag for her? And if you are a popcorn-a-holic who craves extra butter, do you show restraint or get your munch on? hmmm… so many questions. I am glad we are well beyond the first date stage, ha ha!
Thanks for partying with us on #FridayFrivolity

Whoa, popcorn, well, movie snacks in general complicate things way too quickly, but always, always extra butter. 😉
