    1. Charlotte’s Web changed my life, but I’m still not friendly with venomous spiders, they don’t seem fun. 🙂
Hope this week is being kind to you so far, John. 🙂

    1. Hanging in there, how are you?
They keep the spiders on all their toes, wait, do spiders have toes,
I’m suddenly picturing spiders wearing those kinky toe socks they used to have. 😉
Hope this week is being good to you so far. 🙂

      1. Thanks! I’m hanging in there too. In the process of writing a sequel to the published debut book. Now, kinky toe socks will make me laugh when I
see a spider hangin’ around. Take care, Donna. ❤️🎶📚

      2. That’s wonderful! I’d wish you luck, but it’s so much more than luck, it’s hard work and talent, thankfully you have all. 🙂
Take care and all the best. 🙂

      1. Sadly the WordPress gremlins are ever present; I’ve always assumed WP’s unofficial motto is, “If It ain’t broke, break it”.

  1. Yes, a sad day 8 years ago. Of all of the celebrate deaths, Bowie’s was the one that touched me the most (OK, John Lennon, but that was life time ago!)

  2. The spiders boycott my house, for the furry feline family members don’t let them see a moment of peace! And about those WordPress gremlins … I’ve said the same thing, that the motto of the “Happiness Engineers” is “If it ain’t broke, then break it!”

    1. WordPress always seems to have new tricks up their sleeves and they never stop, Happiness Engineers, huh, more like making us unhappy engineers. 😉

      1. They’re clearly in it to make more and more money with less quality and help, sadly I suppose that’s the way of the world, but still disappointing.

      2. Yes, sadly that seems to be the way of the world today, but it is very disappointing and is leading us down a path I really don’t want to go down, one that dismisses humanity and thrives on wealth & technology.

  3. A good chuckle. Thanks! I saw a tiny spider here a few days ago on an icy window. Insomniac I’m guessing. As for those coins showing up… Once I was worried about not having $ to cover bills etc. I looked down and found a dime. Every time I began to have those feelings, I’d find a dime somewhere, even in strange places. Then I opened a book randomly in a book store. The author said that every time he began to worry about $ a dime would appear. I’m not alone in this experience. I’ve found dimes under my pillow, in a grocery store produce weigh scale, etc. Like the author of that book, I call them dimes from God. The message to me is don’t worry, you’ll be fine. I guess I stopped worrying because I haven’t found dimes in some time since my Canada pensions started coming to me. Perhaps you’ll find new sources of income too, spiders etc… 🤗🙏🕊️💕✨🕷️🍪🍩🍫💰😊🤗💕✨

    1. I like to think things seem to come to us in various ways when we need them, sometimes physically, other times emotionally or spiritually. 🙂
I hope this week treats you and the spiders well, maybe those dimes are finding their way to someone else who needs them right now. 🙂

  4. What a nice homage on spiders, Donna! I love the name Charlotte. 😉 Here we only have daddy longlegs, but they are convenient, because their behavior is different to the normal house spiders. They are building non symmetric webs without glue. A bit chaotic like us. Lol I hope you will have a happy, healthy and prosperious New Year! xx Michael

  5. Thanks for the smile, DP.
I’m now wondering if spiders eat the microbugs that live in our bedclothes and mattresses. If so, we should pay them a wage, methinks. But who knows? Big article in The Star today says we should leave our beds unmade because of microbugs and now that’s all I’m thinking about!! Oh dear.

    1. Hmmm, we could make a deal, they help us, we help them. A symbiotic relationship.
I’m happy to hear that because honestly I don’t make my bed nearly as often as I should,
but I think about it, does that count? 😉
I hope this week treats you kindly and with few microbugs or heaven forbid macrobugs. 😉

  6. What an interesting idea! However, I never find money or spiders, hmm. 🤔 Maybe the cat takes care of one and the grandkid the other? Something for me to ponder!
We’re losing a lot of the greats, sad to see. They are missed, too.
    Have a wonderful week!

    1. Maybe the spiders are saving up to give you a lump sum, like you’ve won the spider rent lottery! 😉
I really hope 2024 is treating you kindly so far and that money finds you and hopefully not with too large a spider. 😉

      1. Oh, WOW! Wouldn’t that be great! I wish that for you, too!!!
2024 has been so hectic so far, I’m hoping when it slows down to get some rest (and not find a large spider-unless it does have a rent payment😉).
Hopefully you will have a kinder year.
        Big gentle hugs. 🤗

      2. I hope some of hectic is good hectic and yes, slowing down is good, if possible.
Who knows what this year will hold, but I’ve made a lot of changes to help me
manage so hopefully, fingers and toes crossed, it all helps. 🙂
        All the best, always. xox

      3. Oh, I do so hope for your sake it helps.
My goal is to reduce my sedentary lifestyle and go out more. Not easy with all the pain, but, oh so necessary.
Have a great weekend, and all the best to you, too. 🙂 xoxo

      4. It is difficult, pain is such a thief and an isolator, it works very hard to keep us down and out, but we keep trying.
Big but very gentle hugs xoxoxo

  7. I had a spider. He bit my hand instead of paying rent.

I had placid paralysis in 4 fingers. Doc gave me a cortisone ointment, and I was better in 10 days!

You write fab posts! Thank you!

    1. That is a very naughty spider and ungrateful for the free rent.
I’m glad you’re better and hopefully won’t hold it against all spiders.
Thank you kindly and hope this week is being good to you so far. 🙂
