  • Canada has legal marijuana (if ya wanna). Trump is meangirling us, “I’m not even talking to Canada right now!”  OMG, cause Kelly told Stephen told Sarah told Jared told Ivanka that Justin Trudeau wasn’t kissing Donald’s butt – I can’t even!  New reality show idea: “High School White House”. How’s that cyberbullying campaign going, Melania? Be Best indeed.

  • HBC (Hudson’s Bay Company)/Britain, now they knew how to dominate trade, unfortunately in an aggressively brutal, demeaning, and evil way, especially the fur trade –  can you tell I just watched Frontier on Netflix, originally on Discovery? This is sort of a Canadian Game of Thrones, with less incest and rape; more fur and Jason Momoa (oh my, did it just get really hot in here? Blogger fanning herself…

    Been watching him since Stargate: Atlantis, don’t judge. Game of Thrones really should have kept him longer, Khal Drogo, oh my, even hotter in here….sure, he’s Aquaman now, but we have to watch the new DC stuff to see him, shudder, also, Allan Hawco, Shawn Doyle, Landon Liboiron, Tantoo Cardinal, Evan Jonigkeit, Greg Bryk, Zoe Boyle and more. But I digress.

  • Automation killed the jobs, not NAFTA. See, we missed a step, a) Get everyone a basic income, we should all have enough (those who want more are free to pursue it; don’t bother with the ‘we don’t have the money’, we do, it’s just lining the wrong pockets), then, b) Automate the jobs, and lastly, c) Quit whining, learn some facts (they’re fun, I promise).

  • Taking down all the statues? The American Civil War happened. Slavery happened (and it wasn’t a choice, Kanye West, you’re confused). Genocides. Holocausts. Sir John A Macdonald happened. You can’t erase history like an old VCR tape of Magnum P.I. – learn from it, don’t let it happen again. Redo the plaques on statues with both, oh heck, why not all, sides of the story? No use throwing out all the old drunk white guys with the bath water (at this rate there will just be more).

Children in cages; children stolen from their parents; war; famine; biorisk; healthcare; revoking security clearances (public enemies list, aah, Nixon, the gift that keeps on giving…maybe his ghost is floating around going, “I am not that  big a crook!”, so instead, McRaven for Prez 2020?) to stop an investigation.   • Racism, sexism and a bunch of other isms; collaborators to the right of us, maybe to the left – there must be some kinda way outta here, because Bob Dylan/Jimi Hendrix got it right, “let us stop talkin’ falsely now” and by ‘falsely’ they didn’t mean believe liars, try it the other way round, there, that’s a better fit.

  • Russian nesting doll satellites; comets; plastic pollution islands, grieving Orcas; dead sea life; nuclear insecurity (aka spoiled brats holding their, er, weapons in their creepy little hands).

  5. Someone is back on form again. There couldn’t have been better news, well maybe except for the fact you could be Welsh instead of Canadian. But if you can’t manage it, Canadian will do.I’d love to know how you arranged for Trump not to talk to you so you don’t have to invite him for a playdate again. And I just know your mum won’t let you go if he invites you over to his. She doesn’t like spoiled bullies. RIP the very talented Aretha Franklin, but as another much missed singer trilled. I’m saving all my love for you.

    1. I think we have a Welsh relative (I was told he was a horse thief, but I find that hard to believe, no one should own a living creature so how can you really steal one?), at least I thought we did but shaking our family tree, we’ve found some revelations…We definitely are UK (ish?). lol 😉
      We have Justin Trudeau and our Liberal government to thank for making Trump dislike us, we keep doing pesky things like saying no to his insanity, speaking up for human rights, women’s rights, freedom of speech and all that. And secretly I think it’s also because our leader has great hair and isn’t orange, the Orange Misleader is jealous. 😉 We’re taking it as a point of pride Trump dislikes us, it tells us we’re doing a lot of things properly.
      Aretha will always be in our hearts through our ears and feet. She was wonderful, not just his voice, but her kindness, standing up for people – beautiful inside and out. And the joy she has brought to so many (take a note Mr. Prez, bring joy not sorrow, hate, and disgust).
      Hope your weekend is as wonderful as you, dearest David (I know, not possible, but we can hope).

  13. Canada asking for a little respect? Just take Trump off our American hands and you’d get so much respect, you wouldn’t know what to do with it….but then you probably wouldn’t know what to do with Trump either (though I’d be glad to offer a few suggestions). 😦

    1. We’ve offered to take Obama, after all, our Prime Minister doesn’t have to be born in Canada (our rules are quite different), but sorry, you’re stuck with the Orange Misleader…look into those suggestions though, you never know when he might get bored and wander off to something else. 😉
      I’m taking it as a point of pride he dislikes us so much. 😉

      1. Trump dislikes every democracy on the planet. All a country has to be is a democracy and he hates it.

        He loves dictators, gold toilet seats, money, and power.

        Wait, I forgot about the young, busty women … but he doesn’t love them. He lusts after them, one after another. Before he gropes them, he has them sign confidentiality agreements that spells out in detail how he will sue them for millions of dollars and destroy their lives if they tell anyone they had an affair with him or that he molested them without permission.

Yes, I’m happy too when Canada is not in the mix in the news, and quite happy that Hair Fuhror is not talking to us – after all. we are a threat to national security LOLLLLLLLLLLL.     What a way to end the week…. Donna Parker with a lot of reasons why Canadians are great and deserve some respect. Why it seems that the inmates are in charge of the asylum, that there major issues in all our countries that need to be sorted out instead we are wrapped up in tawdry scandals and fake news. There is a great deal of insults being flung between countries on tariffs and how big each other’s arsenals are. Can we have a time out please and take care of some of the issues that Donna also brings up about the appalling way we deal with people who have nothing. Anyway…head over and see how succinctly all this is put together and spread it around.. Thanks Donna.. I feel better for getting that off my chest. Peace and goodwill everyone… wouldn’t that be nice.

  26. Your chaotic meanderings hit several nails on the head and just kept slugging away. I loved it. Made me think. Made me laugh. Made me cry a few times. Ah yes, we’re in a world of hurt. When you think too much about it, you can go crazy! But we gotta think! We gotta try to make a difference. One slice of life at a time, we gotta show a lotta love and exhibit a little sanity in a world that’s off kilter. Thank you for doing your part. I’m grateful to Claudia for putting me on to you. I will click “follow” and look forward to more from the Canadian perspective. Please know that there are a whole lotta USA citizens (I like to think it’s a great majority of us) who think Trump is as wacko as you do! I have a bumper sticker that says, “Dump Trump” – but I just got my car washed and don’t want it egged! So, in this red state of Montana, I keep the sticker in my glove compartment! Along with my map of Canada. Looks like a good place to be while my world disintegrates!
