  1. Surveys are doing a world of good for me to add those much-needed bucks to my piggy bank. However, if I see one more click to prove you’re not a robot I might just scream. As much as this might be a necessity still on the most tiring of days I myself begin to wonder Am I one or Am I not?

  2. The one glaring error is the statement that you have never been a mental health worker? It must be that since all else is true , you are the wittiest, warmest, woman I know. Having become a friend to me does not say much for your good taste though, but lets skip over that for now.
AI is only set to become a problem if those who are creating it don’t set limits as to how far they can go with it, and how far they should go with it. I’m sure like the Iron Lung it could be used to enhance human protection and the quality of life if those are the parameters set for it. (Like Asimov’s law of Robotics). Huge Hugs

    1. But my dearest David, being friends with you shows my breathtakingly good taste,
for you are wonderful and you know it, everyone knows it. 🙂 xoxox
I feel like no matter the limits we set there are going to be
those who push, prod, poke, and pummel those parameters.
The one thing I know, no machine will ever give hugs like humans can,
in that, we are unique and delightful.
Massive all the best my dear very wonderfully human friend hugs xoxoxox

  3. Are you a former mental health worker? ChatGPT’s version of you seems kinda bland to me. I am not a robot, and I will always fight against being assimilated by The Borg.

    1. Never was, am not and never shall be, though I have with depressions, anxiety, etc.
so I have talked about it so I’m guessing that’s where it got that, keywords, etc.
      But Resistance is Futile. 😉
Hope this day is treating you humanely!!! 🙂

      1. Apparently it will never admit it doesn’t know something so if it hits on something
it doesn’t know it extrapolates or just makes stuff up. So not so different from humans after all, hmmm. 😉

    1. My insatiable curiosity gets the better of me ever time,
also, with a last name like Parker, I have to be nosy, right, it’s my birthright! 😉
Hope this day is being good to you, my fellow not-a-robot!!! 🙂

    1. I hope you’re feeling better and that was a nice review except for his mistakes. LOL And he’s right. You do have a loyal following who loves your posts. I know, since I’m one of them.

      1. Thank you kindly, it’s so lovely having a warm, kind, and generous blogging community, we all make each other better, don’t we? I hope this week is being good to you so far and Mother Nature isn’t confusing you too much, she sure is confusing me. lol 😉

  4. In recent months I have concluded that AI is far more ‘artificial’ than it is ‘intelligent’. That said, I agree with John … it’s pretty spot-on about your blog!

      1. It’s nice to suddenly have a river as long as it decides to stay outside the house, indoor rivers are bad.
I love the rain, again, as long as it stays outdoors. 😉

      2. We’re in a sudden cold snap but because it’s been unseasonably warm and rainy,
most of our snow is gone which is weird, I do enjoy wearing running shoes in February
in Northern Ontario…but I do have questions about why and what it means. All the best, always. 🙂

      3. Sadly, the “why and what it means” is what scientists have been warning us about for decades. And still, there are those who deny, who fight tooth and nail against regulations on fossil fuels, etc. Sometimes I think the human species is on a mission to self-destruct!

      4. It does kinda make you wonder these days…I think watching “An Optimist Guide to The Planet” with Nikolaj Coster-Waldau
and other programs/articles of this ilk is the only thing keeping me having any hope for us as a species at this point.

  5. Isn’t this a great site review, Donna? 😉 You must excuse, Chat-GPT is just learning. This is the additional answer i get every second time i am asking something. LOl Best wishes, Michael

    1. Yes, it is learning. Hopefully it learns quickly…hmmm, or maybe at just the right pace to get things right. 😉
Hope this day is treating you kindly and humanely. 🙂

    1. It was fun. I did it for my blog, myself, and a magazine I used to run with a friend, it was mostly accurate, well, overall. 😉
Hope this weekend is treating you kindly, cold snap aside. All the best, always. 🙂

      1. Even if they try and try. Just hope they don’t get jealous of not being able to be human but then, that would be very human. 😉

  6. Wow, that was fascinating, Donna. I wonder where the Mental Health component came from. Perhaps there’s another Donna Parker who IS a mental health blogger. AI is not capable of distinguishing fact from fiction, which is pretty interesting and challenging. And the reCAPTCHA graphic cracked me up!

    1. It does mention I talk about mental health so I wonder if it just extrapolated?
Who knows but it sure will be an interesting journey seeing where AI goes (and takes us).
Hope this weekend treats you kindly and humanely. 🙂

    1. We are and as long as it’s used responsibly and we put safeguards in place everything should be…sorry,
I tried to write that but I started laughing, does that sound like the human race, no, we’ll run with it to see how much money we can make.

  7. I’ll be honest – the latest developments in AI leave me gobsmacked. I’ve been reading about the threat to jobs by robotic minds since I was a teenager, being a sci fi fan. But not a single story claimed that it would be creatives – writers, musicians and artists whose work would be the first to be majorly threatened by the onslaught of machine thinking… True life is surely stranger than fiction!!

    1. I understand because I’ve been reading sci-fi for well over 40 years and I always thought it would be so workers wouldn’t have to do horrible and dangerous jobs, but who knew it would also affect artists, writers, editors, proof-readers, actors/actresses, etc. And yes, it’s all happening sooooo fast!

  8. I’m not a robot either (unless, you know, I’ve been programmed to think I’m not). Anyway, I just stumbled back to your site after a long time away, and realized now much I missed your flavor of funny, seasoned with the occasional underlying insight. Merry Christmas, Donna!

    1. How would we know if we were robots? Thanks Mitch and guess what, I need to stumble back to my blog more often, now that the dust has settled a bit I’m going to try again. Hope this May is treating you well so far. 🙂

    1. I’m glad too and because you found me, I “found” you back, Jody, so glad we’re here together. 🙂
Hope the week ahead treats you kindly and again, nice to meet you. 🙂
