  1. Well this blogger does not and shared the post here in full ….. but WP do annoy a number of bloggers and they still will not allow reblog so thanks for allowing the whole post in the settings it makes sharing your great posts #Donnamazing 😍🌹

    1. You’re too kind, Ian, thank you so much for sharing this. 🙂
WordPress seems to treat their bloggers like the enemy when all we want to do is blog.
Thanks for everything and I hope your week is filled with peace, love and understanding. 🙂 xox

  2. I love WordPress. The angst might be out there, but I don’t feel it. Am I oblivious or just lucky? Naive or stupid? I don’t know. I just love WordPress and the blogging friends who inspire me and visit my posts, and leave affirmative comments. What’s not to love ❤️?

    1. I love the bloggers and I’d like to spend more time with them, but WordPress has made that impossible. I’m talking about WordPress not bloggers, obviously, WordPress is the platform, I love the bloggers, so I’ll agree with your what’s not to love about the bloggers but nothing else. Today alone I had to refollow 30 bloggers, again. I’m so glad you’ve been lucky, but most haven’t been unless they’re paying Premium prices.
I would have said the same as you a few years ago but that was before they systemically destroyed mine and others blogs.
We’ll have to agree to disagree, you can stay and love WordPress but unless they change, by bye. 🙂

      1. I have not switched to the new editor. Maybe that’s one of the troublesome aspects. I tried it. Hated it. And switched back to the original. It works for me.

      2. Thank you- it’s a laundry day. Blog reading between loads. Sorry you’re having WP headaches. Wish I had a solution. I don’t. Hope it gets better! 👍🏽❤️

      3. I started my laundry last night (stupid smart meters) but ran out of time, but thanks for dropping by. The solution is WP needs to stop being so greed but that ship has sailed. 😉
Hope the rest of the week treats you kindly. 🙂

    1. I’m sure every platform has its glitches and I was (mostly) suffering in silence until they started putting ads in posts (ruining them) and saying if you pay we’ll give you back your posts, it’s like inserting malware and then asking for ransom.
      Hope you have a wonder-filled week. :

      1. It’s very strange! Do you pay for your works, I meant upgraded? I didn’t yet because, I have not enough money for it 🙃 if you pay for it, they have to stop doing nonsense. I wish I could see all of your posts ❤❤😘😘

      2. It’s frustrating, isn’t it? I’ve finally accepted WordPress isn’t going to change so I have to, I think this post was my ‘Dear John’ letter lol 😉

  3. I had totally forgotten about being freshly pressed. At first, I thought my blog was pretty cool and that maybe I would be. Now I just keep churning out my garden blog which is read by a faithful few. I have gotten lazy about tags. Must work on that.

    1. lol I don’t think even tags will help on WordPress, they aren’t your ‘garden’ variety evil geniuses bent on driving bloggers insane! 😉
Hope this week is blooming wonderful! 🙂

    1. You too Don’t say it’s true! Boo-hoo, what are we to do? 😉
No one could hate you so they have a major problem. 🙂
Hope this week is treating you well, despite WordPress. 🙂

  4. I don’t like the new editor either. I went back to the old one. The only gripe I have about that one is that they have taken away the “justify text” feature. I could go off topic now and say I don’t have to justify anything, but I mean the kind of justify that makes the writing pretty on each side.

    Like

    1. Me too, but it didn’t fix any of the WordPress glitches…people click Like and it vanishes, they unfollow at least 30-40 bloggers I follow a day, over and over without knowledge or consent, they’ve stolen the Reblog from some and sharing from others and the list goes on and on.
You’re right (or left but not in the center cause no justify), you don’t have to justify anything but it is nice to have the choice and it does make the writing pretty on each side.
Hope you have a justifiably wonderful week. 🙂

      1. I’ll have to check on my followers to see if any have been unfollowed. I’ve had one or two say they weren’t getting my posts anymore…. And yes, the Likes thing is annoying.
I hope they get their act together!

      2. I go onto a page for a blogger I’ve been following for years and I’ve unfollowed them, sometimes this happens daily, it’s so weird. I won’t hold my breath for them to improve, I don’t want to turn blue and miss a summer of fun. lol 😉

  5. I do like WordPress even if it does hate my guts. As you know (or not) I lost my reblog button and WordPress fixed my blog with a sledgehammer and there in the rubble was my reblog button — (yay!) but missing was everything I posted in May and early June. Then I discovered that when WordPress smashed my blog it split in two and the story goes on, but the gist of it is, WordPress hates me. 🙂

    1. I love the bloggers, I love blogging, but super tired of WordPress treating me like some guinea pig. Yes, I’ve head about the lost reblogs from a few folks, that sucks (why am I suprrised #Wordpresssucks).

  6. I pay the premium but they still dropped you from my list of blogs I follow. This is getting crazy. Maybe I should stop eating that vegetable the guy doctor is trying to warn me about.

    1. They dropped you from mine too, several times, you’ll see me periodically refollowing you, it’s starting to feel a tad stalkery…but I’ll keep refollowing.
Other than WordPress, hope this week is filled with peace, love, and understanding. 🙂

  7. I have been on the other side of the fence and it is not greener there. I don’t pay WP premium anything. I am not affiliated with WP or any sponsors of it. I do like it and have not had problems of any lasting nature. I might be the only person in the world that likes Gutenburg editor too! Then again my “traffic” is so minimal, WP doesn’t have to work hard at my URL! That’s a theory anyway. Maybe the more you got going on, the harder it is for WP to cope! And you Donna, got a lot going on, Babe! Love your posts–even this one!

    1. I don’t pay the Premium, maybe I would if they weren’t so awful, but no, bad service doesn’t deserve rewards.
Wait, you like Gutenberg? You’re about the 3rd person who does or is willing to admit it lol 😉
Thank you kindly and hope this week is filled with purr-fectly wonder-filled moments.

  8. WordPress keeps switching me to different editors. Thank God, they haven’t forced Gutenberg on me yet, but they have just switched me back to a version I was using ages ago so I have to remember how to use it all over again. It sort of feels like being put back a year in school because your work isn’t up to standard – possibly a punishment for not using Gutenberg. Or not upgrading and having to pay.

    Like

    1. No, we’ve got a while to Gutenberg, thank goodness, maybe by then they’ll realize the error of their ways and try something easier, I won’t hold my breath. 😉
Hope the week is being good to you so far, all the best, always. 🙂

  9. 🙂 I don’t think that WordPress hates you.

By the way, I believe that WordPress no longer deals with that “Freshly Pressed” feature anymore.

  10. Ditto. Driving me crazy. I pay for extra space because I blah, blah, blah – but finally got tired of the multitude of stupid ads WP makes money on cluttering up my blog, so now paying more to have nothing but blog…sort of like paying to have an unlisted phone number. Over the years WP platform has morphed so much it’s hard to recognize it – and hard to deal with it. IS WP trying to scoop up those fed up with FB? So much of the adjustments and changes now is aimed at big companies. Once authors were scolded by talking too much about their new book (“advertising it”) and having a click to pay button would have caused people to faint. Now? I have a list of blogs I follow as WP seems to keep dropping them from their WP blog followed list – but it’s getting to tedious to make work arounds constantly. And all the companies (looking for traffic and emails?)/fake blogs (with 57+ blog entries of the same exact quote – who is giving them that begin your blog quote? It’s everywhere) – their “following” is just ridiculous – junk clicks.
A good part of the WP fun is gone and somedays, yeah, showing up to read/comment/write is less than entertaining.

    1. I know, it’s like WordPress has inserted malware (their ads) into our posts then asked for ransom to remove them. Greedy.
You sound like your frustration with WP is on par or greater than mine. I miss the good ol’days of WP…Sigh, I guess we have to move forward and possibly away.
Hope this week is treating you kindly (ignoring the aaaarggghhh of WP). Best wishes xox

  11. Donna, even the free WordPress got weird. I haven’t posted in months, just stay in touch with my favorite bloggers. I can’t like or comment on many posts unless I sign in. Glitches galore, slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwww page loads, and I’ve found many blogs -especially those with their own domain name. missing Facebook and or Twitter share buttons. I, too will keep re-following you! In the immortal words of Buzz Lightyear-“To Infinity and Beyond!!!”

      2. It’s a strange sensation when you see followers drop off and people not finding your posts and going to pages you know you’ve followed for years and years and every day it says you don’t follow. This all seems so easy to fix which sadly leads me to believe WordPress doesn’t want to fix the problems. As for the comments to spam, I know and 90% of the time there’s nothing in those comments to land them there. Sigh.
Thank you kindly and I hope today and all the days that follow are full of peace, love and understanding. 🙂

  15. Dear Donna… they hate me too! Though I’m glad to have your company in general, I’m sorry you accompany me in this misery.
I know it sounds like a conspiracy theory, but I’ve experienced first hand, a company intentionally driving itself out of business (as a high level financial strategy) — with no concern or consideration for the employees or customers. I can’t help wondering if they are not doing exactly that…
Nothing could possibly be as “accidentally” broken in so very many ways as them. They’re as messed up as the government here. (eye roll)

We love you. Keep on keeping on. Hugs on the wing.

    1. I’ve wondered the same myself, dear Teagan and I love conspiracy theories and that one intrigues me. There is no way a company this big and this filled with talent could screw up this often and this badly, unless they wish to.
