Don’t Stop Me Now

https://yadadarcyyada.com/2019/02/06/dont-stop-me-now/Oh, I’m burnin’ through the sky, yeah.
Two hundred degrees.
That’s why they call me Ms. Fahrenheit.
Don’t stop me now, I’m having such a good time
I’m having a ball.
Don’t stop me now…
I don’t want to stop at all.https://yadadarcyyada.com/2019/02/06/dont-stop-me-now/Can’t see the point pretending everything’s alright
But why wallow and wail,
to no avail?
It is as it was
good versus evil
in a supersonic battle
heating up
lovers gonna love
haters gonna hate
others don’t give a dot dot dot
I’m happy
super-sappy
angry
hangry
lonely
overwhelmed
afraid
defiant
confused…https://yadadarcyyada.com/2019/02/06/dont-stop-me-now/

Nothing stopped me having a good time, seeing them all
Reduced rate and 2 for 1 movies?!?
The show must go on!https://yadadarcyyada.com/2019/02/06/dont-stop-me-now/Neither snow nor freezing rain stays this blogger, forget The Oscars, Golden Globes, SAG, buckle up, here’s mine…

Glass. Best of trilogy. No spoilers, Bruce Willis (still got it); Samuel L Jackson (keeps rolling); James McAvoy (D.I.D. well; abuse shatters). More?

https://yadadarcyyada.com/2019/02/06/dont-stop-me-now/
Bohemian Rhapsody. Smiling, foot-tapping then small sniffly soon joined by big hot blobs no tissues could contain. Every Queen song a bubble/rubble of memories. Happy/sad/joyous/heartbroken/healing/ripping/jarring/hopeful/ lonely/rapturous. Climb the highest peak; plunge the deepest pit. Explosions of memories.  https://yadadarcyyada.com/2019/02/06/dont-stop-me-now/Haven’t discovered the wonder of Rami Malek? Please do. I almost forgot what Freddie Mercury looked like, Malek is that good…as for the Bryan Singer controversy, tip of the melting iceberg, that can of worms is wide open. https://yadadarcyyada.com/2019/02/06/dont-stop-me-now/

Aquaman. (Twice – there’s something to be said for stamina).

https://yadadarcyyada.com/2019/02/06/dont-stop-me-now/Jason Momoa? Can’t tell you everything I was thinking, but he was magnificent. Oceans of action, comedy, sentiment, and messaging (destroying the planet we profess to love). Hmm, Hollywood, money where your movie mouth is – wealth should be shared with those in need and to fix up our world.https://yadadarcyyada.com/2019/02/06/dont-stop-me-now/

Don’t stop me now (’cause I’m having a good time)
Don’t stop me now (yes, I’m havin’ a good time)
I don’t want to stop at all…

  1. Always love your posts. I am a Freddie Mercury fan…love him…have the t-shirts and buttons and albums and…well, Queen’s my band. The movie was excellent, even if it stuck some stuff in it that wasn’t true. Still Malek should get an oscar. He’s a bit wee in stature but he really was amazing. I also think Bruce Willis still has it. LOLOL I’m not sure what exactly, but he still does. Samuel Jackson as well. I’m not sure anyone knows what the hell’s going on since there’s not actual information out there that means anything. But some of us are still havin’ a good time, even if others are not. I don’t even know how to think about things any longer. Sleep tight Freddie and sweet dreams…we love you.

    1. They took some poetic license, for sure, I always think of movies as adaptations, any way the wind blows, so to speak. 😉
Malek is always incredible, but he was Freddie, in this film. 🙂
Whatever Mr. Willis has, he’s hanging onto it. lol 😉 And is there anything Samuel L. Jackson isn’t good in, if there is, I’ve missed it.
I think I don’t know as much as I know but I’ve stopped worrying about it and just glad I’m in “Good Company”. 🙂
#FreddieMercuryForever – to all the outcasts, we are the champions. 🙂

    1. Yes, it reminded me not only of his passing but so many others I’ve lost. It was good crying though, I have tear ducts for a reason, I have to use them sometimes and this was beautiful, a masterpiece. 🙂
Wishing you a wonderful week, Mary. 🙂

      1. D, salt water is healing–weather it’s the ocean or our tears. Haven’t seen it yet, but have heard Rami Malek is amazing as Freddie. Your movie reviews are like no one else’s! Of course! #BloggersPitStop

      2. Rami Malek is an astonishing actor, no matter what role, you believe it, I had to be reminded he wasn’t Freddie Mercury, that I asn’t watching a documentary.
lol I am, er, unique. 😉 I always struggle to do reviews because there’s no way I can tell someone whether or not they’ll like/love or dislike/hate a movie, book, whatever, all I can say is what I liked or felt and they can give it a chance or not. 😉
#BloggersPitStop is hopping, as always, what a wonderful way to connect with other bloggers. Thanks for dropping by and I hope this weekend is treating you kindly. 🙂

  2. Sometimes I get to feelin’ I was back in the old days. And how I wish I was, I’d be paying a visit to Canada and looking to catch the girl with the amazing wit before she got herself married. I suppose though I’d take a risk on being told to beggar off as I’m far too old for you. There’s nothing I can do about that unfortunately except maybe dye my hair and my beard black. Maybe I’d even be able to get in to see Queen live then. What a group.!!
You bring joy to my heart, thank you.

    1. lol Age is just a number, David. 😉
The movie starts at Live Aid and wouldn’t it be awesome to go back and relive a day like that? Magic.
Thanks for the sweetness, dear friend, you always make me smile and if I can bring joy to you, that makes my smile bigger. 🙂
I hope this week is treating you kindly.

  3. Oh yes… LOVE Queen and Freddie – AND I want to see Aquaman and MOST OF ALLLLL GLASS! I was blown away by Unbreakable which I saw years ago at the cinema so if Glass is EVEN better… yippee is all I have to say!

    1. Queen was one-of-a-kind and Freddie Mercury will live on as long as we have his music. 🙂
I recommend “Aquaman”, it’s well done and Jason Momoa is a treasure of the sea. 😉
Did you see “Split” as well as “Unbreakable”, you don’t have to, “Glass” was written in such a way it can stand alone, they give you enough background, but “Split” is fascinating.
Thanks for dropping by and I hope this week is treating you well so far. 🙂

      1. Thank you for your kind concern – yes – so far so good! There is SO MUCH illness going the rounds here right now. I hope you are also dodging the germs!

No – somehow I missed Split, but I want to see both of them. I actually dreamt about Unbreakable after seeing it and generally films don’t do that to me…

I saw Jason Momoa on the Graham Norton Show and was very impressed – it’s easy to end up looking a bit daft when everyone around you is razor-sharp funny… And he easily held his own.

      2. I’ve done well so far with the germies (knock on wood), but others around me haven’t been so lucky (but they’re on the mend!), hope everyone stays well on your end. 🙂
There wasn’t a lot of push on “Split”, maybe because James McAvoy wasn’t a big name, unlike Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson, don’t know, it was in 2016 and there was something going on that year that dominated the news and well, every single thing (sigh).
Jason Momoa is a funny guy, laidback and smarter than people give him credit for…have you seen “Frontier”, it’s excellent, some real Canadian history. 🙂
Best wishes for a wonderful weekend. 🙂

      3. Thank you for the info about Frontier – I haven’t seen it. But I’m definitely going to track down Split AND watch Glass:).

Glad to hear you’re avoiding all the germies and that those around you are in recovery mode – long may it continue! Have a great weekend:)

    1. I do what I’m calling slow blogging, it’s a while between posts, but I enjoy it more and as for the length of time, coming up on 6 years of blogging, wow, sounds weird to type that. 😉

I don’t think you’ll be disappointed in “Aquaman”, it was one of those movies as you watched it you wanted to see it again…at least for me. 🙂
