stuck2When I saw this I was like, when do all these movies come out and how did I miss this one?

Dysfunctional family, writers, starring Greg Kinnear, Jennifer Connelly, Lily Collins, Kristen Bell, Logan Lerman and Nat Wolff? Awww, it’s independent, they slip by so easily yet they’re often a much better use of your time that some top studio stuff.

Some lightness, but digs deep for some dramatic and interesting moments. It asks a lot of uncomfortable questions and while I thought their answers were a tad one-dimensional, it doesn’t invalidate the questions.

What happens when love ends on one side of a relationship, but the other party still remains stuck in love? Which lead me to think about how people get stuck, not just in love, but in loss, in grief, in fear, hope, negativity, etc. How do you get unstuck? All the characters are stuck, in some way, as I guess we all can be, at times.

I loved Kinnear’s speech about the process of writing. stuck1

And the phone call from Stephen King.

Will this movie change the world? Not likely.

Will it make me think? Maybe.

Will it make you smile? Probably.

Sometimes your life needs a good edit.

Very me
