Canada is a country rich in stories and sagas and the East Coast, also known as The Maritimes fairly explodes with long tall tales, legends, and all kinds of weird and wild.
Tales of dead men walking, ships exploding, poison gas, pirates, preachers, unsung heroes,
Senators (apparently they were an issue even before Canada was actually a country),
murder, mayhem, intrigue, thieves, wars, lies,
sex, insanity, gold, drugs, alcohol, adultery,
soldiers, sailors, storms, sea monsters,
bootlegging, baseball, bears, blood –
this book has it all and then some.
Looks like times have changed, but we still have a lot of Scamps and Scoundrels.
These stories roll over you like a salt-crusted wave and it makes you want to dive in for more.
