ImageThe Watchers by Jon Steele  (Blue Rider Press/Penguin)

The bad news is its 574 pages long.

The good news is its 574 pages long.

Kind of Supernatural meets The Hunchback of Notre Dame meets The Sopranos meets Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Oh yes, it’s that good.

The only downside was I wanted more of the Supernatural part.

Loved the characters, the story was gripping and challenging.

Very dark and definitely edgy.watchers4

Got this as an ARC, but it’s worth buying.

Like any great novel it left you wanting more.

This is really only his first novel? I’m impressed.

Can’t wait to read Angel City, part two of the Angelus Trilogy.

Go and get this, grab a cup of tea and your cat (if you don’t have one, borrow one), curl up in a comfy chair and be carried away. Image

Very me
