NEW YEAR TENACITY

newyear2I don’t generally make New Year’s Resolutions, after all, I’ve had some of these horrible habits for years, where will they go once they’re unloved?
I don’t smoke so I never have to give that one up.
The weight loss thing is a constant so it’s more like a resolve issue each and every day.
Keep in contact with people you love…I’m pretty ok with that, mostly.
Donate to charity…do that although being broke and obscure I might qualify as one myself.christmas230
Cut back on coffee, not a problem, never touch the stuff.
Exercise more? Do that already too.
Maybe I’m perfect already, nope, couldn’t write that with a straight face.
As for a bucket list, doesn’t that just scream giving up? Yup, I’m going to do everything I ever wanted to do so I can what? No, I’ll never be done and that’s how I like it.

I resolve to:
1. Be my best self, now knowing me as well as I do I will stumble on this one a lot. But will pick myself off, dust myself off and try again.

2. Try not to get cranky with ludicrous or ignorant people. I can already tell this is going to be a challenge.

3. Apparently the price of chocolate is going up like 25% so this would probably be a good time to get that monkey off my back. I still love you chocolate, but sometimes love just isn’t enough.c114. Simplify, even more than I already have. Declutter, edit, let go, don’t buy, say goodbye to stuff.

5. Try to worry less. Worry’s a passive thing, action is better. If you worry about stuff then you’ve lived through it again and again…and what if it never happens? Why put yourself through that?Bill Murray and groundhog

    The whole thing is one of the right things to do. We don’t always do the right thing, but eventually it
    turns out to be good-since we can recognize that is wrong. Worrying less sometimes is a hard thing
    to do, but it is better for us in the end.
    Recognizing things that we should be able to do, is the best thing we can do for ourselves at the beginning of the New Year.
