al3Liked the book (Seth Grahame-Smith) so I gave the movie a shot. I like this new thing were they take classics and add supernatural elements. Really liked Pride and Prejudice and Zombies and Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters. Sort of supernatural parodies. The movie seemed bumpier than the book, it flagged a few times and felt choppy. I wouldn’t highly recommend this, but it had its moments.

Dominic Cooper (Sense and Sensibility, Mama Mia!) was the stand out.  al2

I think Benjamin Walker (Lincoln) was a victim of timing since Spielberg’s Lincoln was out around the same time with Daniel Day-Lewis as Honest Abe.
ALVH had action, taking down vamps with axes and fancy footwork type stuff. Mary Todd Lincoln went all Buffy on the one vamp, that was cool. Interesting messaging about slavery.

Very me
