Canadian author, Alice Munro has won the 2013 Nobel Prize for Literature.alicem1

This prolific writer has created a mosaic of short story masterpieces abundant with the intensity of human emotion and a transparency that inspires, transforms, and humbles.

The 82-year old author has also been recognized with three Canada’s Governor General’s Awards for fiction, Rea Award for the Short Story, PEN/Malamud Award, National Book Critics Circle Award for Fiction, New York Times 10 Best Books of the Year, Lannan Literary Award for Fiction, and the 2009 Man Booker International Prize for her lifetime body of work.
